Comentarios Petya Ivanova is nowadays one of the most exciting artists of her generation. Her voice can be easily distinguished by its clear colour, sensulal center ant easy tops. Guest performances already took the young artist as LUCIA to Aalto Theatre in Essen, Opera in Bonn and Tiroler Landstheater Innsbruck, as Elvira in I Puritani again to Essen, as LAKME to Sofia National Opera and Maribor National Theatre and as GILDA to the Klagenfurt City Theatre, the Schwerin Festival, Ljubljana Summer Festival etc. The big breakthrough though came with the KÖNIGIN DER NACHT at Staatsoper Wien, the Volksoper Wien and the Hamburg State Opera. Her repertoire includes parts in italian operas like GILDA, ROSINA, MUSETTA, NANETTA, VIOLETTA, LUCIA, ELVIRA, roles she portrayed in the opera houses around the Europe, but she is also very much in demand for roles such as LAKME, OLYMPIA, ZERLINA, DESPINA or CUNIGONDE in Bernstein's Candide. Petya Ivanova graduated consequently the Music College in Rousse and the National Academy of Music in Sofia, Bulgaria. The young artist had been decorated with numerous awards – she won Second Prize at the International Opera Contest Iris Adami Corradett in Padua, Second Prize and the Award of the public at the International Opera Contest Belcanto in Rijeka, First Prize at the International Opera Contest Ondina Otta in Maribor, the Special Prize of the International Opera Contest Boris Christoff as well as the Second Prize at the International Opera Contest Christo Brambarov in Sofia. In the concert field as well, Petya Ivanova is a very sought-after singer. Hereby she can refer to co-operations with the Kuopio Philharmonic Orchestra, Finland, the Radio Symphony Orchestra of Ljubljana, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Sofia and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Sarajevo. Concert evening and recitals egnaged the artist in France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Austria, Germany, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Croatia, Finland and Russia. She had also participated in Gala Concert at Oskaka Music Festival in Japan. Her concert repertoire includes rarities like “Concert for a coloratura soprano and orchestra” by Reinhold Gliere, “Lauda per la nativita del Signor” by Respighi, “Davide Penitente” by Mozart, “Como cievra Sedienta” by Arvo Pärt and “Stabat Mater” by Poulenc. The soprano’s recent engagements include ROSINA at Theater San Gallen, LUCIA in Konzertgebau of Amsterdam, VIOLETTA VALERY in Netherlands etc. In the next 2012/2013 season she will return in her crown role GILDA in Rigoletto and debut as MICHAELA in Carmen in Slovenian National Theatre Maribor. |
