The German lyric tenor, Lorenz Fehenberger, began his artistic career after completing his study of singing at the Munich Conservatory in the group for medieval music under the leadership of Martin Zöbeley. His teacher included above all his father, the state-honored Kammersänger Lorenz Fehenberger and also Nikolaus Hillebrand.

Lorenz Fehenberger has been a permanent member of the Chor des Bayerischen Rundfunks since 1990, with whom he has also performed as a soloist under the baton of world-famous conductors such as Lorin Maazel, Helmuth Rilling, Marcello Viotti, Wolfgang Sawallisch and Dennis Russel Davies.

Lorenz Fehenberger's wide-ranging repertoire includes among others works by Mozart (Zauberflöte, Requiem), J.S. Bach (the Passions, B-minor Mass (BWV 232), Weihnachts-Oratorium (BWV 248)), George Frideric Handel, Felix Mendelssohn and Bruckner (Te deum, Requiem), and also the swan from Carmina Burana or the narrator in Orff's Moon. The music critic Adolf Gottwald has described his voice as a "especially fortunate, with a timbre particularly suited to the Evangelist".
