Since her debut at the Royal Theatre in Copenhagen, Henriette Bonde-Hansen is one of the leading Danish singers. The soprano completed her singing studies at the Royal Academy of Music in Copenhagen in 1991 and graduated in the same city as an opera singer in 1993. In 1995 she was awarded the prize of the Danish Critics.
Henriette Bonde-Hansen already built a wide opera repertoire, with Ilia (Idomeneo), Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), the title role in Mozart's Zaide, Adina (L’Elisir d’Amore), Gilda (Rigoletto), Juliette (Romeo et Juliette), Adèle (Die Fledermaus), Micaëla (Carmen), Nanetta (Falstaff), Valencienne (Die lustige Witwe), the title role in Charpentier’s Louise, Sophie (Der Rosenkavalier) and Zdenka (Arabella). Henriette Bonde-Hansen is working on a regular basis at Det Kongelige Teater in Kopenhagen, Den jyske Opera in Aarhus, Den Norske Opera in Oslo, Staatstheater Stuttgart, Opéra National de Paris Bastille, Opéra National du Rhin in Strasbourg, Opera National La Monnaie in Brussels, the Scottish Opera, the Canadian Opera Company and Teatro Municipal in Santiago, Chile.
In the vocal-symphonic field leading international orchestras such as Academy of St Martin in the Fields, Danish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, Finnish National Orchestra, the Internationale Bach Akademie, l’Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France and the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra invited the soprano. She is working with conductors such as James Conlon, Charles Dutoit, Adam Fischer, Claus Peter Flor, Manfred Honeck, Mariss Jansons, Christoph König, Fabio Luisi, Sir Neville Marriner, Marc Minkowski, Kazushi Ono, Helmut Rilling, Michael Schonwandt and Ralf Weikert.
Henriette Bonde-Hansen performed both of Bach’s passions as well as his Hohe Messe, Händel's Messiah, Haydn’s Die Jahreszeiten and Die Schöpfung, Mozart's c-Major Mass, b-Major Mass, the Requiem and Excultate Jubilate, Brahms’ Ein Deutsches Requiem, Liszt's Christus, Fauré's Requiem, Mahler's 2nd, 4th Symphony and 8th Symphony, and Poulenc's Stabat Mater.Being Danish, she also loves performing Nielsen’s 3rd Symphony, Lieder from Frederic Delius and Schierbeck’s Den Kinesiske Flojte.
The voice of Henriette Bonde-Hansen has been recorded in a programme of Lieder by Frederic Delius with the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra conducted by Bo Holten. Adam Fischer invited her in performances and CD-recordings of Mozart’s Lucio Silla (Cinna), Mitridate (Aspasia), Il Re Pastore (Aminta), and Idomeneo (Ilia). She has also participated in Cimarosa’s Les Horaces et les Curiaces with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France conducted by Fabio Luisi (live recording).
